1. Professor (1 post)
Fields/Areas: Business Management / Entrepreneurship
Specific Requirements:
- Applicants should have a Ph.D degree in Business / Management / Entrepreneurship or related fields from a recognized university and a satisfactory research, publication and consultancy record. Postgraduate teaching experience will be preferred an ability to teach other functional areas in management would be an added advantage.
- The successful applicant should be able to design and teach courses in the areas of
Business and Management at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Active participation in the activities of the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences is also expected.

Fields/Areas: Islamic Banking and Financial Services
Specific Requirements:
- Applicants should possess a Ph.D in Islamic Banking and Financial services. Professional qualification in Islamic Finance is preferred coupled with a wide-ranging teaching and research experience especially in Asia Pacific region.
- The Successful applicant should be able to design and teach courses in the area of
Islamic Banking and Finance, and related areas in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Active participation in the activities of the Faculty of Business and Management Science is also expected.

- Applicants should have a Master degree in Information and Communication Technology/ Computer Science or in other related fields from a recognized university Professional qualification in IT is an advantage.

- Legal Practitioner (with Master degree), or Law Lecturer (with Ph 0) experienced in giving lectures at university level, to teach law subjects, including Criminal law, Law of Evidence, Civil Procedure and Criminal Procedure, of the common law jurisdiction, with the ability to also teach some Shariah courses. Knowledge of English Language, Malay Language and IT is preferred.

- Ph.D degree specializing in al-Agidah with 10 years experience in teaching at tertiary level/research/publication out of which 5 years must be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent for the post of Professor; at least 3 years as Senior Lecturer or equivalent for the post of Associate Professor; and minimum of 6 years' lecturing experience in the HE sector for the post of Senior Lecturer.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. A lecturer should have at least a Master degree in relevant field with at least 3 years teaching experience in tertiary level and must show inclination towards research and publication. However, preference will be given to candidate with Ph.D degree. A Senior Lecturer should have at least 5 years teaching experience in tertiary teaching and a proven record in research and publication, An Associate Professor and a Professor should have outstanding academic record of teaching, research and publication and an established international reputation.
2. Ability to teach both in Arabic and English would be an advantage. Familiarity with the knowledge of computer would be an added advantage.
3. Postgraduate teaching experience will be preferred.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
1. The appointment will be on a permanent basis for citizens of Brunei Darussalam. For non-citizens, appointment will be by contract for a period of three years which is renewable subject to mutual agreement.
2. The annual salary range for the following posts is as follows
Professor: B$ 70,800
Associate Professor: B$ 64,800
Senior Lecturer: B$ 55,200 - B$ 62,400
Lecturer: B$ 33,720 - B$ 50,880

1. The academic allowance is as follows   
Professor: B$ 1,000.00 per month
Associate Professor: B$ 800.00 per month
Senior Lecturer: B$ 600.00 per month   
Lecturer: B$ 500.00 per month   
Lecturer (without Ph.D): B$ 300.00 per month   

2. Other benefits (for contract appointment):
a). Bonus (1 month salary for Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, 'A month salary for Associate Professor/Professor) after each 12 months of satisfactory service.
b). Gratuity (25% of last drawn salary x 36 months at the end of the contract).
c). Education allowance and children's passage.
d). Subsidized housing (staff contribute B$130 per month).
e). Free medical and dental services.
f) Interest - free car loan.
g). Annual leave of 48 days
h). Passage and removal allowance.

At Present there is no personal income tax in Brunei Darussalam.
